The Dangers of Third Party Candidates- Democratic Unity Needed Now.

As the presidential election in 2024 approaches, the specter of a third-party candidate presents a serious risk for Democratic voters. It is time for Democratic Party supporters with varying ideologies to unite in support of President Biden and focus on our common goal – keeping a democratic government that truly represents the interests of the people and works for everyone.

Candidates like Jill Stein, Joe Manchin, or the “No Labels Party” could take votes away from President Biden and enable Donald Trump or another MAGA Republican to get elected. Voters considering a third-party candidate should carefully examine the extreme policies of these candidates and their funding by wealthy right-wing extremists.

Consider the stakes carefully – supporting the rule of law and our Constitution versus creating an authoritarian government. Donald Trump is telling us what he would do – replace the CIA, FBI, and Justice Department with his own people, and appoint lawyers willing to ignore the Constitution. His candidacy is based on division, distraction, and destruction. To protect our democracy it’s crucial for Democratic voters to come together around a candidate with a viable path to victory –  that’s President Biden. His administration created jobs, raised wages, lowered inflation, and built infrastructure – all despite opposition in the U.S. House. The coming 2024 election isn’t a mere political chess game – it’s a battle for the soul of our nation.

As we exercise our democratic right to vote, let’s unite to build a future based on our shared values. Let’s vote for the greater good, for an America that honors our democratic values and freedoms, and a society that works for us.
